The role will see you lead the inspection, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine rotor blades, ensuring all work meets our rigorous standards and guidelines. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for technical advice and blade-related inquiries, ensuring effective communication and technical support across all project phases.
You will support risk management and business control activities, effectively communicating progress and addressing issues with customers, management, and stakeholders. Additionally, you will assist in project planning, cost estimation, scheduling, and conducting risk assessments during tenders.
The Role
- Create, review, edit, and update technical documentation, including repair instructions.
- Develop solutions for blade incidents and review manuals and schematic diagrams to identify required tasks, tools, equipment, and parts.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
- Provide technical support for large projects involving blade inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Occasionally communicate progress, deliverables, and decisions to customers, serving as a liaison between our business and customers.
- Perform ad hoc blade engineering tasks, including technical analysis and root cause analysis reporting.
- 4+ years of experience in an engineering role within the wind energy industry.
- Previous experience as an engineer or technical team member with a focus on wind turbine rotor blades; hands-on repair experience is highly desirable.
- Experience in composites from the wind industry and knowledge of blade design and manufacturing.
- A strong technical interest and are an avid digital native.
- Excellent stakeholder skills, capable of interacting with technicians and clients.
- Self-driven with a keen sense of initiative and responsibility.
- Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages such as German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Polish, or Swedish is a plus.
