We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity to work for our market leading client who is looking for an experienced Cargo Operator on an ongoing contract basis. You will form part of a multi discipline team that are expected to carry out various works to a high quality and safety standard.
Reporting To: Cargo Supervisor
Purpose of Job:
The Cargo Operator will exhibit a high standard of safety behaviour and will ensure that all aspects of Cargo and Cargo Utility operations and maintenance are carried out safely and effectively.
Transparent and up to date and that they reflect the actual situation with regard to stock movements.
Areas of Responsibility:
Prepare to Start Marine and Cargo Operations
Monitor and Maintain Marine and Cargo Operations
Prepare and shutdown Marine and Cargo Operations
Operate under PTW and Isolation Certificates and conduct toolbox talks.
Contribute to Tank Entry, Inspection and Maintenance Activities
Test Isolations for integrity to company procedures
Depressurise, drain and vent, de-gas, the plant or system as required according to procedures or operating guides
Perform De-isolation; testing and re-instatement of plant are carried out according to procedure.
Carry out an Emergency Response role.
Experience and Qualifications:
3 years’ experience as Pumpman on oil tankers (VLCC experience preferred)
STCW Reg AII/4 certification.
Understanding of Permit to Work systems; Mechanical Isolation Standards, Risk Assessment and COSHH
Medically fit to offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent.
