Roles and Responsibility
The Chief Tunnel Managers shall be authorized to represent the Contractor on construction aspects for their individual scopes and shall bear overall responsibilities on all aspects within his scope. He shall have relevant experience as per EQC, including experience in a key position on site for supervision or construction of large-scale tunneling works similar to the Works under this Contract
• MUST have Construction of TUNNEL experience preferably in a Rail/Metro project
• Should have major tunnel projects experience in their home-country and abroad
• Organizing and supervising the site activities
• Control of materials, resources and logistics for the execution of works
• Ensuring the implementation of the design drawings at site and proposing design modifications according to site conditions.
• Liaising with design team for the constructability of design and proposing changes.
• Ensuring the works are executed in respect to quality & HSE specifications
• Preparing/reviewing reports of works executed
• Participation in selection of shotcrete mix design and equipment for drilling, grouting & shotcrete works.
• Participation in preparation of Method Statements
• Training of crew for the execution of the works
• Participation in cost estimation for tendering new projects
• Preparing technical and commercial offers for the clients (subcontracts).
