Civil Supervisor

For our client's renewable project on a refinery site in Sweden we are currently searching for an experienced Civil Supervisor. Foreseen duration of this project is until end of 2026.

The Civil Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and ensuring the successful execution of civil, structural, and architectural aspects of construction projects within a refinery. They collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and contractors to maintain safety, quality, and adherence to project specifications.

Responsibilities:

1. Inspection and Quality Assurance:

   • Conduct regular inspections of civil and structural work, including foundations, steel structures, concrete, and architectural finishes.
   • Verify compliance with design drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
   • Identify and address any deviations or deficiencies promptly.

2. Safety Compliance:

   • Monitor safety practices on-site, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, regulations, and best practices.
   • Participate in safety audits and promote a safety-first culture among workers.

3. Coordination and Communication:

   • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to coordinate CSA activities.
   • Communicate progress, challenges, and potential risks to relevant stakeholders.
   • Facilitate effective communication between different trades (civil, structural, architectural) to ensure seamless project execution.

4. Problem-Solving:

   • Address construction-related issues promptly, proposing solutions to maintain project timelines.
   • Resolve conflicts or discrepancies related to CSA work.

5. Documentation:

   • Maintain accurate records of inspections, test results, and progress reports.
   • Prepare daily logs and reports for project documentation.

6. Quality Control:

   • Ensure that construction materials meet quality standards.
   • Monitor workmanship and craftsmanship during construction.

7. Project Support:

   • Assist in project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
   • Provide technical support during construction activities.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Education: A degree or diploma in civil engineering, or a related field.
• Experience: Previous experience in construction, particularly within refineries or industrial settings, is preferred.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with Swedish AMA, construction codes, standards, and best practices.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to identify and address discrepancies promptly.
• Team Player: Collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
