The Role
- Reporting to Fabrication Engineer
- Undertakes daily audits of random coating stations, checking all aspects of the process including environmental conditions, paint mixing, DFTs, materials have correct traceability present etc
- Ensures coating inspections are done per specifications
- Attends inspections when notified by Contractor - Blasting, Visual inspection, DFT control checks etc. in accordance with the agreed ITP
- Reviews and verify coating records during the fabrication process
- Manages closure of coating aspects from punchlists prior to load out
Your Profile
- NACE Level 2 or equivalent
- Extensive experience and good understanding of the manufacture and coating of offshore platforms or large fabricated structures.
- Significant practical experience working in a similar role.
- Experienced in dealing with Contractors/Sub-Contractors monitoring of Surface preparation and coating processes for compliance.
- Fluent written & verbal English preferable knowledge of local language
- IT literate in Microsoft Office
- Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Project Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
- Able to review manufacturing records and manufacturing drawings
- Understanding of manufacturing and fabrication standards ISO, EN, DNV and other industry norms
- Able to work with minimal supervision
This is a 12 month contract role based in Norway, you MUST have right to work in Europe already in place.
