The position is based Offshore Equatorial Guinea.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute the approved well program for completions and interventions, ensuring AFE, scope, and performance targets are met.
- Manage multi‑disciplinary crews and service partners, ensure operational excellence, and uphold HSE standards while executing completion, workover, and intervention programs (e.g., slickline, e-line, coiled tubing, stimulation, fishing, ESP change-outs, and plug & abandonment).
- Coordinate daily activities of rig/service crews and third-party vendors for completion operations, well testing, well clean-up, well interventions, and P&A.
- Verify and stage equipment, tools, and consumables; ensure QA/QC of critical equipment (VITs, packers, safety valves, plugs, CT strings, wireline tools, BOPs, lubricators, pressure control equipment).
- Conduct pre-job briefings, risk assessments (JSA/TRA), and ensure compliance with work permits and Management of Change (MoC).
- Troubleshoot operational issues (e.g., stuck tools, sand production, scale, water shutoff, ESP failures) and implement contingency plans.
- Verify well barriers per program and standards (e.g., barrier schematics, pressure tests, inflow tests) before and after operations.
- Ensure environmental controls for produced fluids, chemicals, cuttings, and waste management.
- Manage contractor performance (SLAs, KPIs), verify service tickets, and support cost control.
- Validate downhole schematics and installation sequences for upper/lower completions, smart completions, wellhead/XT installation, and tree cap/SCSSV testing.
- Support sand control, stimulation acidizing, water shutoff, scale/sulphate management, and integrity remediation.
- Capture nonconformances and lead RCAs; implement corrective/preventive actions and contribute to performance improvement plans.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- Technical diploma or Engineering degree preferred (Petroleum, Mechanical, or related discipline), or equivalent relevant industry experience.
- Minimum of 5–10 years offshore experience in completions and/or well services/interventions, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory role.
- Proven experience with upper and lower completion installation, including packers, tubing strings, ICDs/ICVs, SCSSVs, and other subsurface safety devices.
- Competent in the use of BOPs, wireline valves, lubricators, coiled tubing BOPs/strippers, and pressure testing procedures.
- Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control certification (Completions & Well Intervention level).
- Offshore Medical Certificate (e.g., OGUK or equivalent).
- BOSIET/FOET with HUET.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (written and verbal); additional languages an advantage.
