The Electrical Engineer acts as project expert for all electrotechnical components of the grid connection system which are required to establish a 220 kV/66 kV grid connection system, such as
o 220/66 kV power transformers;
o 220 kV shunt reactors;
o 220 kV GIS;
o 66 kV GIS;
o 220 kV and 66 kV cables and fittings;
o Auxiliary power transformers and neutral point formers;
o Main and reserve protection;
o Auxiliary power units AC/DC;
o Low voltage cabling;
o Protection concepts.
The ideal candidate for the role of Electrical Engineer will have the following experience:
• experience in the relevant field of electrical systems engineering, preferably offshore;
• knowledge of the relevant regulations such as IEC, Offshore Codes (e.g. DNVGL).
• knowledge of the current state of the art and technical development in the offshore substation (AC) technology (design, construction, commissioning)
• Good understanding of SCADA systems
• quality and HSE awareness, knowledge in quality management;
• a high degree of technical understanding and economic responsibility;
• safe handling of MS standard software and project management tools such as MS Project or Primavera;
• negotiation and organisational skills;
• ability to work under pressure, ability to work in a team, initiative as well as commitment and assertiveness;
• general willingness to travel and readiness for onshore and offshore operations;
• business fluent use of English language in spoken and written form (minimum requirement is generally level B2 for English according to the Common European Framework), German and Polish preferable;
