Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with strong expertise in Solar Power Projects and Substation Engineering up to 220kV. The ideal candidate will be responsible for design, engineering, calculations, documentation, and coordination activities across solar and switchyard engineering projects.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Engineering

• Electrical project engineering for Solar Power Projects and switchyards up to 220kV.
• Conduct site surveys for feasibility studies of PV Solar Power Plants, including transmission line routing and grid substation connectivity.

2. Design & Documentation

• Prepare Single Line Diagrams (SLDs) and project Design Basis Reports.
• Prepare detailed Scope of Supply, RFS documents, and equipment Technical Specifications.
• Develop datasheets for Transformers, DG Sets, MV/LV/Control Panels, DC systems, and switchyard equipment.
• Perform HT/LT cable sizing calculations, current carrying capacity checks, and voltage drop calculations.
• Develop cable schedules, cable routing, cable trench layouts, and cable drum schedules.

3. Substation Engineering (up to 220kV)

• Engineering of substations including conductor & busbar sizing, cable sizing, earthing, zoning, and lighting.
• Prepare relay and metering panel specifications.
• Provide foundation load inputs to civil teams.
• Prepare switchyard SLDs, layouts, earthing layouts, and cable tray layouts.

4. Electrical Systems Design

• Prepare designs for:
  • Earthing & lightning protection systems
  • Lighting layouts
  • Electrical equipment room layouts
  • I/O list for SCADA systems

5. Tendering & Procurement

• Execute electrical tendering activities.
• Support in selection, procurement, and inspection of electrical equipment.
• Check and evaluate Quality Assurance Plans (QAPs) of sub‑vendors.

6. Inspection & Quality Control

• Inspect power & distribution transformers, motors, cables, HT/LT panels, and switchyard equipment up to 220kV.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
