"TRS has an exciting opportunity for an Onshore Environmental Coordinator to ensure the execution of activities for the environmental compatibility of onshore projects, and for land and industrial sites remediation/decommissioning, waste management and monitoring projects within the Oil and Gas Industry to join our Client's Onshore Berri Project team, based in Saudi Arabia.”

JOB DESCRIPTION:
• Ensure execution of activities for the environmental compatibility of onshore and offshore projects, and for land and industrial sites remediation/decommissioning, waste management and monitoring projects
• Ensure that activities and documents issuance are consistent with project costs, time, objectives, requirements, laws and stakeholders consultation.
• Ensure the correct application of the environmental know how and the implementation of the HSE Management System for aspects within remit.
• Acquire project scope, objectives, criticalities and opportunities, relevant environmental issues from the analysis of bid documents and contractual documents.
• Ensure project cost estimation.
• Take part in the definition of project bidding and execution strategies.
• Participate in planning and scheduling the overall project and provide specific plan for the execution of environmental activities and issue of documents complying with contractual/project requirements.
• Ensure the definition of environmental philosophy and design criteria and select suitable environmental friendly technologies to be applied to the project.
• Ensure the execution of activities and the issue of documents as per project requirements and in compliance with Client’s procedures and HSE Management System.
• Ensure the execution of studies and analysis on significant environmental aspects (air quality, noise, surface waters, waste management, land remediation, etc.) at different levels (feasibility, conceptual, detail), and LCAs if requested, and broaden results to whom may concern.
• Ensure that Reports for environmental permitting (e.g. Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessment) are duly prepared and managed, according to project scope, environmental context and legislative framework.
• Ensure preparation of environmental management and monitoring plans for operation, Environmental plans for Emergency/Contingency Situations, and Decommissioning plans.
• Manage the environmental aspects of the project according to the Client’s HSE Management System.
• Coordinate/supervise the Environmental team, including outsourcing when present.
• Ensure review of project documents for the environmental aspects, informing the pertinent project positions of any conflict with contractual requirements, procedures, and project schedule.
• Ensure active participation to the project. design reviews.
• Provide support to the other discipline teams in identifying and implementing environmentally compatible design solutions.
• Support the referent project managerial positions in relations with Client and external organization, and support Client in dealing with Authorities and Stakeholders for environmental permitting purposes.
• Ensure controlled management of the concerned documents and monitor the progress, suggesting suitable actions to prevent, absorb or minimize any deviation in terms of time or costs.
• Report the need for design changes that could entail contractual changes.
• Monitor follow-up of actions and recommendations identified
• Propose the capitalization of lessons learned

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Accredited Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma qualification in Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 5+ years as Environmental Coordinator on Onshore projects within Oil & Gas Industry.
• All required certificates.
