Algunas funciones:
-Montar bases de la estimación
-Preparación y revisión de MTO´s y BOQ´s.
-Conocimiento de la situación del mercado (benchmarking) y tendencias.
-Mantener bases de datos de precios;
-Comparar con otras propuestas similares y ofertas de vendors;
-Proponer alternativas de costes para fijar estrategia más adecuada para la oferta;
-Conocimiento del alcance y revisión de las especificaciones.
-Identificar posibles puntos "débiles" o riesgos de la propuesta.
