Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and ensure the implementation of the HSE Management System in compliance with the international standards (ISO 14001 / OSHA18001, others).
- Ensure that all sites’ activities carried out by Saipem are conducted in strict accordance with Saipem HSE Standards.
- Ensure the implementation and compliance with the HSE plans and procedures.
- Develop an emergency response plan for any identified potential event.
- Promote environmental and safety awareness among the workforce and hold regular site meetings with supervisors, workers, sub-contractors.
- Interface with Clients and Authorities.
- Ensure protection of Environmental Sensitive areas.
- Ensure the development of spill contingency plan and monitor implementation
- Ensure the development of Waste/Chemical/Water Management Plans, obtain relevant permits from authorities and monitor implementation.
- Establish an environmental monitoring and audit program applicable to all phases of the operations.
- Find out Archaeological significant areas by conducting surface surveys and sampling of visible sites.
- Ensure Project HSE training and Induction programs implementation at site level.
- Promote periodical site HSE Review.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
- Master's Degree/bachelor’s degree
- English and Portuguese language skills required.
- 5-7 years of experience in a similar role of HSE Management experience, within EPCI work environment, including Onshore and Offshore Construction and Installation activities and vessel operation.
- Certified HSE qualifications.
- Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 series standard; experience in preparation and maintenance of HSE Management Systems and auditing experience.
- Experience in Oil & Gas sector, both corporate and construction environments.
- People management/influencing and organizational skills. Analytical, problem solver.
- Familiar with HAZID and Risk Assessment methodologies.
- Familiar with the International Maritime Organization ISM Code (International Safety Management Code).
