HSE Advisor

Our client, a leading EPCM with projects worldwide, is seeking a HSE Advisor to join their team in Kitimat, BC.

The ideal candidate will be able to supervise individuals and/or teams of HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) professionals to create and sustain a productive work culture and safe work environment in order to avoid minimize HSE related problems. These problems include but are not limited to prevention of human injury, environmental degradation and unsafe working conditions/practices. This is done through health, safety and environmental training, programs, and processes with a visible and uncompromised commitment to the protection of the environment as well as the productivity of the Company’s employees.

Qualifications:
· Supervise and train subordinates to his/her area on HSE activities
· Assist in preparation of certification/classification programs
· Provide regulatory requirements and participate in monitoring and controlling HSE standards
· Plan, conduct and document work requiring independent evaluation, selection, and adaptation/modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria
· Promote, foster and adhere to Company HSE standards


Requirements:
· Bachelor’s degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study
· 6+ years of work-related experience
