HSE Expert

We are currently looking for a Senior HSE Expert who supports the Country HSE Officer in fulfilling his HSE responsibility. So, helping to ensure that all applicable legal and company internal requirements in the area of HSE are implemented and a certifiable HSE Management System, part of the Integrated Management System, is maintained and effective. Assures that local legal requirements are added to the IMS. You will also work closely together with the international HSE team.

Your main focus will be setting up (and fine-tuning) a new HSE proces and making sure that all relevant documentation and processes are in place (and checked). You will be office based with occasional travelling to sites in the Netherlands (on average once every two weeks).

Experience within the (offshore) wind industry is essential. Experience with the setup/implementation of a management system is a must. You must be educated to the level of Dutch HVK/IVK or equivalent, have excellent knowledge of the Dutch and English language and currently living/working in The Netherlands.


What are the key responsibilities?

- Ensuring that applicable legal and technical safety requirements, requirements from the company policy framework and requirements from the HSE Management System as well as local requirements are determined, understood and are implemented;
- Ensure that the entity holds valid certifications (e.g. ISO, VCA) wrt. HSE;
- Consolidates data on Safety Performance for the legal Entity;
- Identify gaps between IMS and Dutch legislation with the aid of RedOnline. Write, if applicable, local procedures (e.g. Appendices, LOCs,LSI) to close the gap;
- Carry out Internal controls (e.g. Audits, sanity checks);
- Develop, implement and update the standard/generic HSE/ERP plans;
- Develop and Maintain the Reporting Tooling;
- Help implementing the actions define in the RI&E action plan required by Dutch labor law;
- Development, mentoring and train (site based) personnel in all requirements coming from the RI&E and the action plan;
- Actively look to improve safety standards.

What do you need to qualify?
- A minimum of 4 years of solid experience as a HSE professional in the (offshore) Wind Industry;
- Expert knowledge in H&S management systems and risk mitigation strategy;
- Experience in the set up of (integrated) Management Systems
- Have a recognized H&S qualification on Dutch HVK/IVK level or equivalent;
- Excellent knowledge of the English and Dutch language;
