The HSSEQ Senior Specialist - High-Risk Trainer & Assessor shall:

Ensure that Business Unit operational risk profile is reduced to as low as reasonably practicable in regards to employee competency and capability by providing ongoing technical training in areas of identified as high-risk tradecraft, which falls under the remit of HSSEQ as defined by client regulations e.g. Lifting & Rigging, Crane operations, Forklift operations, Working at Height etc.
Be the primary focal point (subject matter expert) participating in the development of industry training packages, ensuring in-house training meets competency and capability assessment frameworks as defined by relevant industry standards and accrediting bodies’ competency assessments.
Manage the delivery of competency and capability assurance program (Training and Verification of Competence) for high-risk tradecraft so as to achieve course participant evaluation results in the >90% range.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree
Fully conversant with Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations (UK) and BS 7121 (UK) Code of Practice for the safe use of cranes as specified by client regulations.
Certified by LEEA, part-1 and any other part.
Advanced Rigger competency qualification e.g. NVQ 3 / 4 (UK), Cert IV (Australia) or OPITO Stage 4 or equivalent
Training and Assessment qualification at Level 4 or higher e.g. Training and Assessing (Australia), Training Assessment and Quality Assurance (UK), including Language, Literature and Numeracy modules or equivalent.
Three (3) years learning & development experience related to LE, preferable with a registered training organisation providing vocational educational training.
Professional Experience

Significant experience and demonstrable success with an internationally recognized business leader within the heavy industry (e.g. Oil & Gas, Marine, Mine, Port, Power Generation, Manufacturing) as a Subject Matter Expert coaching and mentoring a workforce in a multinational environment where perceptions of safety and risk vary considerably.
Degree holder shall have a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in any engineering failed (preferably Lifting Equipment) of which three (3) years have been spent in inspection and certification of LE.
