TRS Staffing Solutions has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Advisor to work for an amazing client in Calgary, Alberta. This will approximately be a 10 month maternity leave coverage.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and coordinate activities related to the employee life cycle, including leaves of absence, modified work schedules, employment verification, assignments, and departures.
- Lead special projects to address strategic people’s needs.
- Provide ad-hoc data analysis and reporting as needed.
- Assist office leadership with compensation administration.
- Conduct thorough and confidential workplace investigations from start to finish.
- Collaborate with HR teams and centers of excellence to provide effective HR support.
- Guide and support managers in employee engagement and performance management.
- Offer expert advice and interpretation of HR policies, programs, and employment laws.
- Support office leadership during the annual talent cycle.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of four years of experience as a Human Resources Generalist.
- Certified Human Resources Professional (CPHR) designation is a plus.
- Ability to quickly learn and assimilate new systems, processes, and technical information.
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to effectively present to senior leadership.
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing demands and adapt to changing priorities as an HR Advisor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, with intermediate to advanced computer skills.
- Client-oriented mindset with the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse client group, including senior leadership.
- Industry experience in sectors such as energy, chemicals, construction, supply chain, mining, or infrastructure is an asset.
