For our client's project site team in the Rotterdam area we are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Site Engineer. He/she will play a key role in overseeing the electrical installation works on-site, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. This position is on behalf of the main EPC contractor and requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and coordination skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate electrical installation activities on-site.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and applicable standards (e.g., NEN, IEC).
• Liaise with subcontractors, suppliers, and other disciplines to ensure smooth execution of electrical works.
• Conduct inspections and quality checks on electrical systems and installations.
• Monitor progress and report deviations, risks, and issues to the Site Manager.
• Ensure all electrical work is carried out safely and in accordance with HSE regulations.
• Support commissioning activities and resolve technical issues during start-up.
• Maintain accurate documentation including red-line drawings, test reports, and daily site logs.
• Participate in site meetings and contribute to planning and coordination efforts.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in electrical site engineering, preferably in industrial or energy projects.
• Proven experience working on behalf of EPC contractors.
• Strong knowledge of Dutch and international electrical standards.
• Familiarity with hazardous area installations (ATEX) is a plus.
• Fluent in English; Dutch language skills are advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Valid VCA (Safety for Operational Supervisors) certification.
