Human Resources Director

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking for an HR Director to join an amazing company in Vancouver, BC!

Our client is a global leader in sustainable infrastructure solutions! The ideal candidate will have minimum of 10 years’ experience in Construction and Infrastructure within unionized environment.

You would be working with a company that considers employees the center of their strategy, which is based on diversity, equity, and inclusion. You would be providing critical HR support to construction projects located in Vancouver. This role will contribute as a key member of the HR Team in the delivery of strategies and initiatives.

Responsibilities:
• End-to-end recruitment
• Use existing and devise new methods to attract and retain top talent
• Work closely with other departments to understand employee trends
• Increase employee engagement and retention
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal standards and reduce risks
• Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation
• Provide day-to-day performance management guidance
• HR administration, including but not limited to payroll, benefits, immigration, reporting
• Participate and/or manage company programs like salary reviews, performance reviews, etc.

Required Skills and Competencies
• Degree or diploma in HR or a related field
• Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition in construction industry or related field
• Experience with high-volume recruiting
• Experience in a unionized environment
• Ability to build strong relationships with people at all levels within an organization
• Strong organization, communication, and conflict resolution skills
• Ability to manage a variety of HR tasks
• Experience with HRIS
