Job Title: Maintenance Planner (Contract)
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Duration: 11–12 Months
Pay Rate: $55.29/hour
Work Type: On-site
Travel Support: Per diem and monthly travel allowance available for non-local candidates
Overview:
A major engineering company supporting operations and maintenance for power plants is seeking a skilled Maintenance Planner for a long-term contract role in Phoenix, AZ. This position is ideal for candidates with utility experience and a background in Electrical and Instrumentation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create Work Orders from approved WOs and CARs.
- Plan work packages per Maintenance Work Package Procedure.
- Ensure problem statements clearly define corrective actions; collaborate with requestors to verify accuracy.
- Complete Environmental Checklist and assist in Environmental Work Plan development.
- Ensure Cyber-related systems comply with NERC CIP regulations.
- Submit requests for required services/materials; coordinate with Storekeepers for accuracy and availability.
- Conduct Maximo Work Order backlog reviews.
- Energized Equipment Work Permit and LOTO requirements
- Hot work and confined space permit requirements
- JHA and PJB documentation
- Risk assessments related to generation and environment
- Job plan tasks by craft, labor, and duration
- Required disciplines, tools, documentation, and QA/QC checkpoints
- Engineering and contract support needs
- OEM representation and post-maintenance testing plans
- Accredited 4-year degree or global equivalent in a relevant field and 10 years of related experience

A combination of education and directly related experience totaling 14 years (if non-degreed) - Strong understanding of local, state, and federal regulations
