TRS Staffing have a fantastic opportunity for a Lead Senior Authorised Person – 400kV

We are for an experienced Lead Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to take a pivotal role in the commissioning and safety coordination of cutting-edge offshore wind projects.

About the Role
As the Lead Senior Authorised Person, you’ll be responsible for ensuring Safety from the System across mechanical and electrical systems at onshore and offshore substations, export cables, and construction sites. You’ll work closely with project teams and EPC contractors to guarantee a seamless transition from construction to commissioning under strict safety rules.

Key Responsibilities
  • Health & Safety Leadership: Prepare and review commissioning procedures and RAMS; participate in HAZOP and HAZID studies.
  • Commissioning Management: Plan, organise, and monitor site activities to meet budget and compliance standards.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and motivate SAPs, control engineers, supervisors, and technicians.
  • Technical Integration: Oversee ABB SCADA system integration with operator control and trading platforms.
  • Budget & Operational Control: Execute SAP activities for onshore/offshore substations and export cables.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Maintain strong relationships with contractors and project owners.

Experience / Qualifications
  • HNC/HND or equivalent in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
  • 5+ years’ experience in offshore wind farm construction, commissioning, or operations in the UK.
  • Previous experience as an Electrical Engineer or Senior Authorised Person (up to 400kV).
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills with a focus on safety and quality
