Job Summary:
The Interior Designer is assigned the multiple, complex and frequently urgent design projects undertaken by the Office of Facility Planning and Development(OFPD), Procurement Section. This individual has full responsibility for developing and continuing an interior design program for all areas of the facility. Work as a technical expert with technical independence under the general supervision of the FF&E Manager. Full technical responsibility is mandated in achieving as aesthetically pleasing and therapeutic environment of care for patients, visitors and staff in the health care system.
Job Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture or related field.
•Minimum 5 years of interior design or interior architecture experience. Healthcare experience is preferred.
•Proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD.
•Adobe Suite (InDesign, Illustrator & Photoshop).
•Motivated, organized, self-starter with the ability to drive a project to completion.
•Perform professional duties with a high level of team collaboration to achieve excellence.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
•Space planning skills, strong knowledge and ability to specify materials, furnishings, flooring, lighting, furniture, etc. Prepares FF&E budgets and purchasing packages if required.
•Ability to comply with regulatory environment, healthcare building codes and hospital standards.
•Knowledge of the building activation process with planning, design and coordination of activation activities, warehousing, staging and the eventual installation.
•Knowledge of the management and organizational structure of hospitals and health care institutions
•Knowledge required managing and coordinating all hospital and clinic activation activities in support of major, minor, and station level construction projects.
•Maintain Interiors Resource Library.
