This position offers the unique opportunity to participate in the creation of a new business pillar within an established, state of the art, manufacturing facility!
Responsibilities Include:
• Receive requests for quotations from Sales team, analyze requirements, and obtain quotations from specialist vendors for outsourced elements
• Develop conceptual modular electrical rooms/skid designs in collaboration with customer engineering teams, taking into consideration structural integrity, HVAC requirements/options, small lighting and power requirements, fire protections, etc.
• Analyze customer’s technical specifications and apply appropriate product offerings to facilitate meeting the customers’ expectations in a cost-effective and timely manner
• Coordinate electrical switchgear lineups with internal Engineering team
• Preparation of mechanical and electrical technical submittals based on customer specifications, drawings, etc., adhering to all state and federal code
• Liaise between Engineering and Sales to ensure effective transition of information on projects won
• When most appropriate, provide alternative solutions to optimize profitability while meeting customer needs
• Maintain positive, progressive, and productive attitude toward plant targets and objectives regarding reliability, accountability, safety, integrity, quality, and productivity as a unified goal
Requirements Include:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Preferred
• 5+ Years of experience in the engineering and design of Modular Electrical Rooms
• Excellent PC skills including Microsoft Office tools
• Revit 3D modeling skills required, BIM, SolidWorks experience preferred
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Background Check and Drug Screen Required
Due to the nature of the work and the product created, this position may require someone to list up to 50lbs, carry objects over a distance, bend, twist, squat, climb ladders, stand for extended periods of time, use tools requiring manual dexterity, and operate powered industrial equipment.
