We are looking for your expertise as a Lead EC & I Engineer overseeing design, integration, and implementation of EC&I systems, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and client expectations to join our esteemed client’s project team. Job Summary:
  • To lead the Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) engineering function on EPCM projects within the mining and petrochemical sectors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead EC&I engineering activities across all project phases from concept to commissioning.
  • Develop and review EC&I designs, specifications, and drawings.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams including process, mechanical, and civil engineers.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and safety regulations.
  • Manage vendor and contractor interfaces for EC&I systems.
  • Provide technical leadership during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Support project planning, budgeting, and scheduling for EC&I scope.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge transfer within the team.

Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical / Electronic / Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of EC&I engineering experience, with at least 5 years in a lead role.
  • ECSA Registration (or eligibility).
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP) is advantageous.
  • Proven EPCM project experience in mining and/or petrochemical sectors.
  • Strong knowledge of control systems, instrumentation, and industrial automation.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards (IEC, SANS, ISO).
  • Experience with design tools and software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, ETAP).
