DESCRIPTION:
We are looking for BACHELOR IN LAW for a LEGAL COUNSEL position, working in our corporate located in Mexico City, for important global firm dedicated to providing the best engineering talent to companies in the energy, petrochemical, mining and infrastructure industries.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• To provide support in the processes associated with compliance with the legal conditions established in the projects and the development of legal strategies in the projects where Mizamtec has participation.
• To provide support in the operations and activities within Mizamtec. Includes advice related to applicable legal framework and contracts; Drafting legal documents, tendering and negotiation of agreements, among others.
• Provide support for the preparation of contracts, minutes and / or opinions regarding compliance with the applicable legal system.
• Provide assistance required for documents, communications, contracts and / or any other working paper to comply with legal regulations in force to safeguard Mizamtec's interests.
• Provide support in legal advice to the Company in the conduct of its activities and development of oil and gas businesses.
• Provide support to the implementation and execution of the Company's corporate policies.
• Provide support to the offices of Milan, Houston, Amsterdam and London in connection with the preparation of corporate documents, such as powers and minutes of meetings.
• Ensure compliance with the provisions contained in the Model 231 and the Company’s Code of Ethics, as well as any other policy applicable to Mizamtec.
• Acting and participating in the actions, diligences and procedures, before governmental authorities and official entities, in order to obtain permits, applications and authorizations, as well as to provide support to different organizational units within Mizamtec that require such documentation.
• Provide support and follow up of claims, lawsuits or similar actions, exercised by or against the Company.
• To legally represent the Company, before official bodies, courts, authorities, public and private organizations, and before any natural or legal person, within the limits of the mandate or power granted, and following the Company's guidelines.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS
• Law Degree qualification
• Some years of experience within the oil and gas industry
• Knowledge on oil and gas regulations
• Knowledge of Mexico labour laws (federal, state and municipal).
• Experience dealing with contracts, joint operation agreements, litigations, negotiations with partners and other relevant transactions within a corporate environment.
