Your main area of responsibility will be the design and execution of projects for energy distribution systems in the international datacenter market. Depending on the project you will be part of a bigger project team or work independently.
As Mechanical Design Engineer (E-houses/Skids) you play an active role in the detailed design, the overall project coordination, the preparation of the technical document package and the production of these modular units. These units contain different systems for the power distribution in datacenters. For the department the focus is on interface engineering, this for mainly the electrical,- mechanical,- and HVAC systems.
The job:
You will work together with a lead engineer, who is overall responsible for the technical design. The short delivery times and high demands from our customers are a guaranty for a dynamic project environment. Part of your daily job will be keeping in touch with our customers and production locations. Site visits will be part of your job and therefor you have to travel, for short periods, on a regular basis.
Following activities are part of your job:
- Generate detailed designs for E-houses/Skids using Inventor.
- Investigate and advice on different subjects like; lay-out, choice of component, fire safety, HVAC, electrical systems, cabling, etc.
- Interfacing with your direct co-workers for low voltage, mid voltage and busbar systems.
- Review of basic and detailed designs.
- Proactively communicate with the customer on commercial aspects related to additional work.
- Organize and attend factory acceptance tests (FAT).
- Prepare the technical documentation package.
- In-office support for the production and on-site delivery.
- Proper project closing and handover.
- Initiate and execute process and product improvements.
Requested:
- Bachelor degree Mechanical Engineering with minimum of 5 years work experience in international projects. Or a Master degree with a minimum of 2 years work experience in international projects.
- Good practical knowledge of Inventor
- Precise, positive critical and a broad technical interest.
- Flexible working attitude, hands-on and result driven.
- Good communicator, stress resistance and able and willing to work in a hectic project environment.
- Fluent in English, basic Dutch or willing to learn.
- Driver licence.
- Already living and working in The Netherlands (Randstad area).
