Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineer

For our client we are urgently looking for a Mechanical/Metallurgical Engineer who has experience in the steel industry and has an understanding of, and experience with, steel/aluminum manufacturing and process equipment. The project duration is at least 6 months.

Key Responsibilities:
• Preparation of data sheets material requisitions for inquiry and purchase
• Preparation & review of technical evaluations of supplier bids
• Review of supplier drawings & documents
• Attend supplier meetings & resolve issues related to manufacturing
• Familiar with system layouts including material flows, equipment utilization, scrap handling and crane utilization
• Coordinate / interface with engineering disciplines process, piping, electrical, control systems and civil for equipment & facility design as well as with clients
• Plan the execution of the work, track progress & report to the Mechanical Lead Engineer

Basic Job Requirements:
• Msc or Bsc in Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of mechanical engineering
• Background in Steel making
