Our client who is a Major Wind Developer is looking for an Offshore Consent Manager. As the right candidate you will be able to demonstrate competence and experience of consenting a major infrastructure project and management of stakeholder issues. Track record of working in the offshore wind energy industry. Willingness to travel within Scotland as required by the role and the wider U.K. The right candidate will have the following skills:
Skills:
A strong understanding of the Scottish Planning System and the relevant Scottish stakeholders.
Strong technical and practical understanding of the environmental and consents aspects of consenting an offshore wind project
Well organised and able to manage multiple work streams on a large project
Proven competencies in project development including proven ability at project manager level
Highly motivated and with the ability to work to challenging project deadlines
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at a range of levels internally and externally
Evidence of success in forming and maintaining working relationships in a multi-disciplinary environment
Strong organisational skills with the ability to organise work to meet deadlines

The Scope of works for the role will be
The Senior Consent Manager (SCM) will lead development and delivery and maintenance of necessary consents for current and future offshore wind projects with a focus on Scottish projects.
The SCM must ensure the consent and agreements obtained allow the construction, operation and maintenance of all necessary project assets including the grid connection.
All activities must be delivered to programme and on budget.
Deliver and maintain necessary consents for offshore wind farm project(s) in Scotland
Provide expert advice on project consenting matters (offshore and onshore) and define the project consents strategy.
Liaise and co-ordinate consents activities with engineering, electrical, other technical and commercial disciplines to optimise the project.
Responsible for securing additional environmental consents and licences as may be required through the development process
Lead procurement for, and management of, EIA consultants and other contractors as required to progress development.
Manage project consent team personnel
Interface management within the Project to ensure communication between the relevant work package managers, contractors, consenting consultants and key stakeholders.
Engage internally with other consents managers for other UK & Ireland offshore projects to ensure a consistent approach and good practice.
Liaison and co-ordination with project delivery partners Crown Estate Scotland, key consultants and other supporting contractors, e.g. National Grid, Scottish Hydro-Electric Transmission & Scottish Power Transmission, land agents
Liaison activities with Scottish government and other key consents stakeholders (e.g. offshore and onshore regulators, statutory consultees, relevant sea users, landowners, industry fora). ,
Local stakeholder, political and media management working with internal press office and political affairs teams, including support for PR messaging
Liaison with JV partners as appropriate
Ensure consent risks are identified and appropriately managed
Manage the consenting budget and deliver workstreams on schedule
