We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-focused Permit to Work Supervisor to oversee and manage the permit-to-work system for high-risk activities on site. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, authorizing, and monitoring permits to ensure all hazardous tasks are carried out safely and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Join our Client on an exciting pharmaceutical project. This is a contract role for at least 1 year based in Hillerød.
Key Responsibilities:
Permit Issuance & Authorization:
- Evaluate and issue permits for hazardous work including hot work (welding, cutting), confined space entry, electrical work, working at height, and excavation.
- Ensure all safety precautions are clearly documented and communicated before work begins.
Risk Assessment & Control:
- Review method statements and risk assessments for each task.
- Verify that appropriate control measures such as PPE, barriers, and ventilation systems are in place and effective.
Coordination & Communication:
- Liaise with site managers, contractors, and workers to ensure full understanding of permit conditions.
- Coordinate activities to prevent overlapping or conflicting work that could pose safety risks
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work is being performed in accordance with permit conditions.
- Take immediate action to stop work if unsafe conditions are observed or if permit terms are violated.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and permit-to-work systems.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain high safety standards under pressure.
Qualification
- Relevant Degree or certifications
- Relevant experience
