We are looking for your expertise as a Planning Manager to be responsible for developing detailed manufacturing plans and ensuring efficient workflow from planned orders through to production completion. This role is based in Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa. Seize your chance and apply today!
Job Summary:
- The role focuses on maintaining an accurate Master Production Schedule, managing SAP production data, and achieving key production planning KPIs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitoring machine loading and capacity.
- Creating and maintaining routings.
- Managing NCR processes.
- Conducting MRP clean-ups and ensuring accurate material consumption in SAP.
- The role requires close collaboration with engineering, quality, procurement, and sales teams to validate drawings, implement changes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- The Planning Manager also supports cost and lead-time reduction efforts.
- Creates rework or scrap orders, when necessary, ensures compliance with safety and ISO 9000 standards.
- Provides timely performance and equipment effectiveness reports.
Qualifications & Skills Requirements:
- Industrial Engineering degree and/or CPIM certificate advantageous.
- Minimum of 7 years’ planning experience in a manufacturing environment of which 2 years’ must be in a planning leadership role.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and scheduling skills are essential.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Microsoft Office.
- Engineering Principles.
