Here is a new opportunity in beautiful Kitimat, British Columbia as a Pre-Commissioning Mechanical Coordinator! The successful individual will be working within a leading EPCM/construction firm alongside likeminded, ambitious individuals. This role is on a 14/7 rotation schedule, has a potential for longevity and provides great accommodations.
The qualified candidate will be reporting to the Pre-Commissioning Lead and will be accountable for the planning and oversight of all mechanical and piping Equipment pre-commissioning activities for the facility
Job duties:
- Evaluate pre-commissioning deliverables from module / assembly yards (inspection, quality checks, etc.)
- Define Site Rotating Equipment pre-commissioning scope with regards to module fabrication yards, construction, and commissioning
- Develop detailed plans, procedures and instructions at the early stages of the project, and manage the process through to implementation
- Establish detailed execution strategies/plans for Unit Pre-Commissioning:
a. Rotating Equipment pre-commissioning program, including involvement in motor bump and runs, Lube Oil flushes, etc.
b. Pipe cleaning, flushing and Dry-out
- Coordination of Rotating Equipment Contractors, Specialty cleaning contractors, Pre-com contractors and Vendor Representatives
Qualifications:
- 15+ years of proven leadership experience in pre-commissioning/commissioning of large process facilities
- Bachelor of Engineering, Engineering Tech, combined with appropriate field experience in managing trades is required
