Preservation Lead

The Opportunity

Our client, a world leading EPCM, is currently seeking talented and highly motivated Preservation Lead for a positions based throughout Alberta and British Columbia. This is a great opportunity to further your career with a prominent global organization.


The ideal candidate will manage and execute preservation activities as part of the site construction team.

Responsibilities

Establish and create a preservation and monitoring regime and system for plant and equipment through all stages of project; fabrication, installation, pre-commissioning, and final handover to commissioning & startup.

Participate with the engineering team to ensure preservation requirements are clearly identified; develop set of preservation checklists, routines and procedures.

Ensure al l supplier recommendations are incorporated into all reports, procedures and project programs; consistency of database and database integrity.

Manage and control use, storage and safe disposal of preservation chemicals and materials ; long term storage preservation and transportation

Communicate with engineering and construction team on stages of fabrication; estimated timelines, planning and scheduling

Act as mentor and coach to all new and junior team members

Qualifications

Degree / Diploma or years of related experience will be considered.

Deep understanding of the Preservation process and ability to understand Process Flow drawings.

Previous experience working with engineers, construction teams and suppliers.

Ability to work well both independently and as a team player

Knowledge of shipping, receiving, inventory and warehouse

Strong attention to detail

Critical thinking, organization and communications skills
