We hereby provide you an opportunity to work for a small chemical plant in the Botlek area with grow potential to become site leader in the future.

• Job Description
The Production Supervisor is the No.2 person at the Botlek site.
• As such he is responsible for Operations, Supply Chain & Logistics and is involved in maintenance supervision, general (plant) accounting, procurement and supervisory duties as assigned by the Site Leader.
• In order to be successful in this position, you will work closely with the Maintenance & Quality Coordinator and Site Leader. In addition, you will successfully interact with other teams within the Bakelite organization.
• You will ensure production targets are met, you will drive yield improvement, quality, capacity creation and effective efficiency initiatives in order to achieve plant goals. Participates as an member of Botlek Manufacturing Team, building strong cross functional relationships within the team.
• Rotates with MT for on call duties (once every 3 weeks).

Basic Job Requirements

Operations (40%)

• Monitor, ensure and optimize manufacturing operation targets. Ensure production targets are met, drive yield improvement, quality, capacity creation and effective efficiency initiatives
• Track key production and quality metrics including effective efficiency, overtime, and sick leaves
• Reduce variability and inconsistency in the production process;
• Participates in Production Meetings, leading them in absence of Site Leader
• Daily and weekly consultation with local MT and possible other stakeholders for the purpose of preparing / adjusting the daily / weekly planning
• Lead troubleshooting of significant processing and production issues at the site
• Review inventory levels daily, as well as customer remote meters
• Monthly review of overtime forms operators.
• Reporting of site absence and maintain records.
• Administer holidays of operations team
• Perform annual review of operations team
• Arrange training for site personnel and maintain training records (depending on needs and training plan).
• Arrange end execute site emergency response training for both Vopak and Gezamelijke Brandweer. maintain training records of executed training).
• Participate with EU Regional Engineering resources for plant design issues and upgrades
• Participate actively in Process Hazard Analyses as an SME
• Ensure proper compliance with safety procedures
• Supervising the follow-up of existing Standard Work Instructions, update of required additions or new instructions

Supply Chain & Logistics (20%):
• Working with Supply Chain and customer services to establish the production and shipping schedule to meet customer delivery requirements and ensures it is followed
• Arranging transport for customer deliveries from Botlek
• Monitoring HCHO production, inventory and demand at Botlek.
• Identifying when HCHO production needs to be moved to a different site, stock transfers and external purchases are necessary
• Making arrangements for Botlek stock transfers and external
• Daily, review shipments from previous day to ensure SAP transactional accuracy.
• Communicates schedule & shipping deviations which could impact customers to Customer Service

Maintenance (20%)
• Oversee and assist the Maintenance & Quality coordinator in preparing and scheduling maintenance shutdowns and catalyst changes.
• Oversee and assist the Maintenance & Quality coordinator in preparing and scheduling maintenance notifications (PM02) in SAP and create work orders in liaison with the Production Engineer
• Oversee and assist the Maintenance & Quality coordinator in preparing, scheduling and preparation of preventive maintenance (PM06) from SAP in liaison by the Maintenance & Quality Coordinator
• General support of Maintenance & Quality Coordinator during stops.
• Contribution to the preparation of the Task Risk Analysis and approval of work permits

Plant Accounting (10%)
• Produce weekly and monthly plant and accounting reports (especially month end), customer consumption Huntsman and maintain Bakelite consumption of Methanol.
• Input for plant cost bridges and other budget issues.
• Control ref. stock corrections.
• Control of all transportation costs (by tank and barge)
• Track key production and quality metrics including effective efficiency, overtime, and sick leaves
• Prepare purchase requisitions and purchase orders.
• Receipt goods in SAP.
• Vendor requests (maintenance and new) in SAP

EHS (10%)
• Lead or participate in process incident investigations
• Ensures all operations personnel are using appropriate PPE and that EHS management systems are being followed daily
• Ensures strong housekeeping program is in place.
• Promotes Job Risk Analysis tool for all new tasks
• Ensure manufacturing instructions and SOP's are updated as part of the change management process
• Creates operating guide updates and SOP's and provides training for the same
• Administers annual, refresher training for Operators
• Participate in Incident Investigations for Production injuries or non-conformances

Requirements
• Completed Bachelor Degree with a Technical or Chemical background
• Extensive proven chemical plant experience
• Experienced with all manufacturing related fields such as maintenance, EHS and Quality
• SAP working knowledge
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken
• BS Engineering or equivalent combination of education and process (design) experience.
