Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Controls Specialist to join our client’s team in the Amsterdam area. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting a major construction project located in northern Sweden. This is a generalist role focused on improving the quality of deliverables in terms of timing, content, and overall project execution.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any potential delays or issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports, highlighting key metrics and performance indicators.
  • Implement and maintain project control systems and procedures to enhance project efficiency and quality.
  • Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project risks.
  • Ensure compliance with project standards, policies, and regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of project budgets and cost estimates, monitoring expenditures to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
  • Provide support in the development and implementation of project management best practices.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in project controls, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Fluency in English
