Client is looking for Piping Engineer
PMT\PMC, EPC, brownfield & Petrochemical projects background
Location: Jubail, Saudi Arabia



Requirements/Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (or related discipline)
  • 15+ years of experience in piping engineering within ethylene/petrochemical plants
  • Prior Saudi Arabia project experience is a MUST
  • Proven expertise in brownfield work, including hot/cold tie-ins, reroutes, and furnace piping (fuel gas, steam, quench, effluent lines)
  • Experience with equipment modifications (CGC suction/discharge, pump Nozzles/API seal plans, column nozzles and internals interfaces)
  • Familiarity with turnaround (TA) planning/execution and constructability in live plants
  • Proficient with 3D modeling (e.g., Smart 3D, PDMS, E3D), isometric production, and stress analysis (CAESAR II or equivalent)



Responsibilities:
  • Plan and execute piping scope for brownfield projects in operating ethylene/petrochemical plants, ensuring safe integration with existing systems
  • Lead furnace-related piping design: burner fuel gas manifolds, steam/air lines, coil connections, decoke lines, quench systems, and flue interfaces
  • Execute equipment upgrades, including:
-CGC (Cracked Gas Compressor) suction/discharge piping, anti-surge bypass and recycle, vibration and flexibility considerations
-Pump systems: suction/discharge piping, NPSH checks, API seal plan interfaces, alignment and nozzle loads
-Columns: overheads/side draws/bottoms piping, reboiler tie-ins, vents/drains, and flare connections
  • Develop and review piping deliverables: P&IDs, plot plans, piping layouts, isometrics, MTOs, specs, line class, valve data sheets, tie-in lists, and work packs for TA
  • Perform pipe stress analysis; ensure nozzle load compliance and support adequacy (spring/constant supports, guides, anchors)
  • Conduct site surveys, laser scans/as-built verification, clash checks, and constructability reviews for congested brownfield areas
  • Prepare Welding and NDE plans, hydrotest/pressure test packages, and systemization for commissioning/start-up
  • Coordinate cutover planning for hot/cold taps, isolation, blinds/spades, and restoration during TA
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi regulations, company standards, and HSE protocols; lead risk assessments (HIRA/JSA) for live plant activities
  • Interface closely with Process, Mechanical, Instrument/Electrical, Civil/Structural, and construction teams to deliver schedule- and quality-driven outcomes
