About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven MEP Project Manager to lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of MEP packages for greenfield/brownfield projects in Sanand. The role spans budgeting, scheduling, contractor management, quality assurance, safety compliance, and stakeholder coordination to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery aligned with design intent and statutory norms.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Controls
- Develop and own the MEP project plan: scope, WBS, baseline schedule, procurement plan, risk register, and cash flow forecasts.
- Prepare and track BoQs, budgets, and cost-to-complete, driving value engineering without compromising safety or performance.
- Establish progress measurement, daily/weekly reporting, and dashboarding (e.g., S‑curves, earned value).
Design Coordination & Technical Governance
- Coordinate with MEP consultants, architects, structural teams, and OEMs to freeze designs and resolve RFIs/technical queries.
- Review drawings and submittals (IFC, shop drawings, as-builts), ensure compliance with codes (IS standards, IEC, NBC, NFPA as applicable).
- Lead constructability reviews and drive design‑build clarifications, interface management (MEP–civil–process).
Execution & Site Management
- Plan look-ahead schedules, manpower/hot-work planning, method statements, and inspection test plans (ITPs).
- Supervise installation, testing & commissioning (HVAC, Electrical HT/LT, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Compressed Air, Utility Piping, BMS/EMS, Lighting, Earthing, ELV).
- Manage MEP subcontractors/vendors: selection, mobilization, performance monitoring, RA bills verification, change orders/claims.
Quality, Safety & Compliance
- Enforce QA/QC standards; lead inspections, FAT/SAT/commissioning protocols, punch lists, and close-out documentation.
- Ensure EHS compliance (PTW, LOTO, hot‑work permits, scaffolding, lifting plans, confined space, PPE) and conduct toolbox talks.
- Coordinate statutory approvals/liaisons where required (e.g., CEIG for electrical, fire NOC with Gujarat Fire Services, GPCB/PCB coordination as applicable to project scope).
Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Run weekly progress meetings, risk reviews, and issue logs with internal and external stakeholders.
- Maintain transparent communication with client/owner, PMC, contractors, and suppliers, escalating blockers with mitigation plans.
- Handover with complete O&M manuals, warranties, as‑built drawings, training, and snag closure.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering (or related). Master’s in Engineering/Construction Management is a plus.
- 6–10 years of progressive experience delivering MEP packages on industrial or large commercial projects.
- Strong command of MEP systems: HVAC, Electrical (HT/LT), Fire Fighting, Plumbing/Drainage, Utility Piping, ELV/BMS.
- Proficiency in MS Project/Primavera, AutoCAD/Revit (reading and markup), and MS Office.
- Solid understanding of Indian Standards (IS), IEC, NBC, NFPA, local regulations, and permit/inspection processes in Gujarat.
- Demonstrated capability in cost control, risk management, and change control.
- Excellent communication, vendor management, and stakeholder alignment skills.
- Hands-on with testing & commissioning workflows and documentation.
Preferred/Good-to-Have
- Exposure to manufacturing parks/industrial clusters (e.g., Sanand region) and fast-track schedules.
- Certifications: PMP/Prince2, NEBOSH/IOSH (or equivalent EHS), LEED/IGBC familiarity.
- Experience with energy efficiency, BMS/EMS integration, and utility reliability (DG, UPS, harmonic mitigation, earthing systems).
- Familiarity with digital QA/QC tools, site mobility apps, and dashboarding (Power BI).

- Stakeholder satisfaction (client/PMC feedback).
