PROJECT PLANNER - GLASGOW (M&E)
My client, a leading M&E Contractor, are currently expanding their Project Controls team in Glasgow. They are currently requiring a Planner to work on Power Transmission & Distribution, Power Generation and Utilities Projects.
THE OPPORTUNITY
To build your professional career by supporting the planning of major engineering projects for my client's growing Business. To work with and develop world class planning and reporting methodologies. To be part of a vibrant, agile and multi-functional engineering team that delivers complex projects to customer satisfaction, on time and to budget. Have the opportunity to add real value through development and implementation of predictive analytics / forward management insights in engineering planning.
THE ROLE
To play an active role in project management support of multi-disciplined, multi-sector project delivery work by facilitating the planning, scheduling and controlling processes. Providing advice, support and clear communication of fact based answers to key management questions which will aid in intelligent and effective decision making.
KEY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES
Develop and track Project Plans (Programmes / Time-Schedules)
Develop and manage Pinch Point Schedules
Build Methodology Drawings
Prepare and produce Metrics Histograms S-curves / Plans
Prepare Manpower Histograms S-curves / Plans
Detail Look Ahead Schedules / Phased Drawings
Complete timely Project Reports
Provide management information and predictive reports and analytics
E.o.T Claim Substantiation / Backup
Provide value creating support to the Project Manager throughout the project life-cycle
To be considered you will:
Have:
Engineering or Construction Management Related Degree / Trade Certification (any of these with the right experience)
Demonstrate ability to develop and implement plans, monitor and control work
Must be capable of producing project plans from IFC design information and BoQ
Microsoft Project / P6 or Equivalent Planning Software, Microsoft Office tools - Excellent report writing skills
Time management essential to satisfy demands of busy schedule and reporting calendar
