For our client we are currently searching for an experienced Project Quality Manager who will work from their Dutch HQ in the Amsterdam area.

The Project Quality Manager is responsible for leading and strengthening quality management across engineering, procurement, construction, and turnover activities on a project. The role focuses heavily on execution processes, making sure that project teams, suppliers, and subcontractors consistently meet contractual, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Develop, implement, and maintain project-specific pro-active Quality Plans aligned with EPCM execution strategies.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement; monitor and improve quality performance across engineering deliverables, procurement and subcontract packages, construction and turnover activities.
• Lead quality risk assessments and make sure mitigation actions are embedded in execution workflows.
• Conduct internal audits, surveillance, and process reviews to ensure compliance with ISO standards and company operating system.
• Support project teams in resolving quality issues, NCRs, and deviations, ensuring timely closure. Identify trends, execute root cause analyses and develop new approaches.
• Support defining quality requirements for suppliers and subcontractors during pre-qualification and tendering.
• Supervise the set up and execution of project supplier surveillance and subcontractor quality programs.
• Act as the primary quality interface with clients and partners.
• Lead quality related workshops and improvement initiatives

Qualifications & Experience:
 

• Accredited four (4) year university degree or global equivalent. Engineering preferred
• 10 to 15 years of experience in the EPCM project environments, with preference in mining & metals industry, of which minimal 5 years of Quality experience.
• Understanding engineering, procurement and construction workflows and procurement and construction quality programs.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and industry-specific codes and standards.
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient English language skills required.
• Lean, Agile and or Six Sigma know how preferred.
