Specific Responsibilities:
Site QA/QC Inspector will form part of an on-site project team based at Eneabba tasked with verifying Contractor Conformance.
The Successful Individual will be responsible for oversight of on-site contractors with regards to Quality and providing direction in a proactive manner to ensure project success.
Specific activities will include:
Verifying Construction contractors contractual requirements associated with a defined scope of works
Verifying Implementation of Quality management systems that promote successful execution of works
Expediting prerequisite Quality deliverables and performing the necessary reviews – Typically including: Inspection & Test Plans, qualifying data, Field Inspection Check sheets, Construction Verification documentation, MDRs.
Verifying contractor compliance via routine, and/or targeted surveillance in accordance with Approved ITPs
Progressive review and monitoring of Contractor Quality Documentation
Reporting the status of Contractor compliance
Interfacing with Engineers, Superintendents and Construction Management
Conducting works in a safe and professional manner
Due to the nature of the project, the QA Specialist Site QA/QC Inspector must have broad construction experience and be proficient in multiple disciplines:
Earthworks
Concrete, Civils & NPI
Piping
Buried services
Steel erection/installation
Surface Treatment
Mechanical equipment
Position required competencies and skills:
Be self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
Previous experience on-site preferred
Able to read and interpret drawings
Knowledge of AS/NZ/Int’l Standards
Proficient in report writing and electronic filing
Position required qualifications:
Trade certification relevant to either Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Piping preferred
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Quality Assurance and or Supervision
Auditing Experience Preferred
CSWIP preferred
Current and Valid Driver’s Licence
