For our client's renewable project on a refinery site in Sweden we are currently searching for an experienced QC Inspector Civil/Structural. Foreseen duration of this project is until end of 2026.

Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monitoring and reporting compliance with GA, Civil, Architectural, Construction,
  • Review and become familiar with the project technical requirements such as the prime contract, applicable codes, standards, and specifications, foundation layout and plot plan drawings.
  • Recommend methods to improve overall quality and assists in analyzing quality concerns;
  • Monitor, supervise and assist subcontractors to achieve quality standards
  • Perform inspections in accordance with the ITP (Inspection and Test Plan) to determine compliance with applicable specifications, drawings, procedures, codes, and standards
  • Responsible for all QA/QC civil and architectural related activities, check and review the plans and specification for the proper construction & quality implementation at job site.
  • Perform  pre-inspection  to  ensure  that  all  installed  materials  are  within  the  standard  in conformance to applicable drawings and specifications.
  • Monitoring and surveillance on site to control the quality of work being implemented by the construction group.
  • Conduct stage and final inspection with owner’s representative prior to proceed concrete pouring and other succeeding work activities as per inspection and test plan.
  • Responsible for the acceptance and rejection of scheduled RFI’s attending joint inspection with the client representatives.
  • Responsible for quality control inspection of all type of RCC works, formwork, brick/block work, plastering, plumbing, painting work and other finishing works in line with approved ITP’s.
  • Inspection  and  quality  control  for  asphalt  and  concrete  pavements  &  different  types  of scaffolding work.
  • Inspection of heavy equipment foundations such horizontal and vertical vessels, exchangers, structural, building foundations, raft and spread footings.
  • Inspection of electrical & communication duct banks, manholes for underground facilities, RCC foundation for piping and electrical.
  • Trenching for electrical and instrumentation cable trenches, sand bedding, backfilling and compaction.
  • Witness field dry density tests for soil, and tests on concrete ingredients at site laboratory.
  • Ensure protection of concrete like – curing, below and underground concrete protective works.
  • Prepare QC incident and surveillance report on daily basis and report to QC engineer.
  • Prepare civil punch list, categorize items, and ensure all "A" items cleared prior to release the foundation to mechanical.
  • Prepare final punch list of outstanding civil items, categorize and assist in closing out punch items.
  • Act as a QC engineer and share the roles and responsibilities of QC engineer civil during absence and vacation.
  • Responsible for timely inspection and quality compliance of all Civil activities proactive in the prevention of noncompliance and problem resolution.
  • Acts as coordinator between Civil, MEI construction & Client on quality compliance issues.
  • Responsible for the acceptance and rejection of scheduled RFI’s attending joint inspection with the client representatives.

Basic Job Requirements
  • Civil Engineering Diploma
  • Minimal 7 years experience in quality control, testing of Civil and Architectural materials
  • Relevant qualifications in quality management
  • Willing to work on site in Sweden.
