1. Quality Assurance Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive quality assurance plan for the A&E Structures Project, ensuring compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and applicable regulatory requirements.
2. Quality Control Oversight: Establish and enforce quality control processes and procedures to monitor and verify that all construction activities, materials, and equipment conform to approved standards and specifications.
3. Inspection and Auditing: Conduct regular inspections, audits, and walkthroughs to verify compliance with quality requirements, identify deficiencies, and recommend corrective actions to ensure project quality objectives are met.
4. Non-Conformance Management: Manage non-conformances and deviations by initiating appropriate corrective and preventive actions, tracking resolution progress, and verifying effective closure of identified issues.
5. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and compliance documentation. Prepare timely reports on quality metrics, trends, and issues for management and stakeholders.
6. Vendor and Contractor Management: Collaborate with vendors, contractors, and suppliers to ensure their adherence to quality standards and contractual requirements. Conduct supplier audits and evaluations as needed.
7. Quality Training and Awareness: Provide guidance, training, and support to project teams and personnel regarding quality requirements, procedures, and best practices, fostering a culture of quality consciousness and continuous improvement.
8. HSE Compliance: Collaborate with HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) teams to ensure quality practices align with safety and environmental requirements, promoting a safe working environment.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (preferably in a relevant field) Advanced degree is a plus.
• Proven experience in quality assurance and quality control within the oil and gas industry or a related field, with a focus on major green field developments.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems, international codes, and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, API, ASME) relevant to the construction and engineering industry.
• Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques, including inspection methods, non-destructive testing, statistical process control, and root cause analysis.
• Experience in implementing quality management systems, conducting audits, and managing non-conformances.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and project documentation to ensure compliance.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders at various levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and the ability to identify and address quality-related issues proactively.
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, manage competing priorities, and meet deadlines.
• Sound understanding of industry regulations, HSE practices, and quality assurance standards.
