- Reviewing and assessing quality documentation from the supply chain
- Ensuring the Employer’s requirements are implemented by the contractor
- Planning, coordination, and execution of Quality Control (QC) activities
- Liase with the different contractors
- Managing of Quality Inspectors
- Oversee and manage the quality of work delivered by the supply chain under package contracts
- Leads the day-to-day QC activities
- Evaluation of reports, inspection results and findings
- Capture all work progress, inspections, and non-conformities (NC) in RWEs Quality inspection app
- Logging and resolution of open points
- Initiation and management NC reports and corrective and preventive actions
- Maintenance of an auditable trail of quality activities and associated records
- Recommendations where appropriate of the resolution of an NC with a concession and management of acceptance/rejection
- Supporting in finding solutions for quality issues
- Supporting in any claims process
- Collate the as-built, installation and supporting Quality records necessary for Commercial Operations
- Escalates issue to the Quality Manager
- Provide weekly reports
- Other QA/QC activities or related task as directed
Requirements:
- Degree qualified Engineer or time served apprentice in a Mechanical/ Energy Engineering/ with a Fabrication background.
- Experience in Wind Turbine manufacture, assembly and installation
- ISO 9001-2015 Lead Auditors Course
- Required HSE trainings: GWO Working at Heights, Fire Awareness, First Aid
- Comprehensive understanding of offshore Wind Turbine fabricators and their manufacturing supply chain, with marketplace intelligence on performance.
- Experience leading/coordinating inspectors and their daily tasks
- Understanding of manufacturing processes for WTGs, including blades and sub-components
- Able to demonstrate a good understanding of quality requirements and risks and the associated standards for WTGs
- Experienced in dealing with contractors/sub-contractors and supply chain monitoring for compliance.
- Fluent written & verbal English.
- Able to demonstrate a strong understanding of Inspection and Test Plans, Project Quality Plans and implementation of tailored Quality Surveillance Programs.
