Key Responsibilities:
Junior Quantity Surveyor:
- Assist with measurement, cost estimation, and tender documentation.
- Support senior QS staff in contract administration and site valuations.
- Maintain records of variations, site instructions, and progress claims.
- Learn and apply industry standards and company procedures.
Mid-Level Quantity Surveyor:
- Prepare and manage cost plans, BOQs, and tender evaluations.
- Administer contracts and manage subcontractor accounts.
- Conduct site visits and prepare monthly valuations and cost reports.
- Identify and manage variations and claims.
Senior Quantity Surveyor:
- Lead commercial management of large-scale mining projects.
- Oversee cost control, procurement strategy, and contract negotiations.
- Mentor junior QS staff and coordinate with project leadership.
- Provide strategic input on risk, value engineering, and cost optimization.
Qualification and Skills Requirements:
- BSc degree in Quantity Surveying or related field.
- Minimum (5 - 10+ years’ experience in Quantity Surveying with at least 3 years in a senior role on mining or industrial projects.
- Proficient in cost management software.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and commercial acumen.
