Position Overview
The Reliability Engineer is responsible for improving asset reliability, availability, and maintainability across operating facilities. This role supports preventive and predictive maintenance strategies, applies Lean principles, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to reduce downtime, optimize lifecycle costs, and enhance operational performance.

The ideal candidate has an engineering background in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering, hands‑on reliability experience in both small‑cap and large‑cap environments, and a strong working knowledge of preventive maintenance programs. Certification as a Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) and Lean / Green Belt experience are highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
Asset Reliability & Maintenance Strategy

Develop, implement, and optimize reliability strategies to improve asset performance and reduce unplanned downtime.
Support and enhance preventive maintenance (PM) and predictive maintenance programs based on asset criticality and failure modes.
Conduct failure analysis, root cause investigations, and reliability studies to identify improvement opportunities.

Continuous Improvement & Lean

Apply Lean principles to eliminate waste, improve maintenance workflows, and increase equipment availability.
Lead or support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or Green Belt methodologies.
Standardize reliability and maintenance processes to ensure consistent execution across sites.

Reliability Engineering & Analysis

Perform reliability modeling, asset criticality analysis, and risk assessments.
Support condition monitoring, reliability metrics, and performance tracking.
Analyze maintenance and operational data to identify trends and drive data‑based decisions.

Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Partner with Maintenance, Operations, Engineering, and Supply Chain teams to align reliability objectives with business goals.
Support capital projects and equipment upgrades by providing reliability input during design, installation, and commissioning.
Provide technical guidance to maintenance teams on best practices and reliability standards.

Program Governance & Reporting

Track and report KPIs related to equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and cost performance.
Support audits, regulatory compliance, and reliability reviews.
Ensure reliability programs align with corporate standards and industry best practices.


Qualifications - Required

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Experience in reliability engineering within industrial, manufacturing, utilities, or EPC‑supported environments.
Strong background in preventive maintenance and asset reliability programs.
Experience working in both small‑cap and large‑cap organizations.

Preferred

Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) certification.
Lean / Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent experience.
Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives.
Familiarity with CMMS/EAM systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP, Oracle).
