FUNCTION: SENIOR RESERVOIR / PETROLEUM ENGINEER
DISCIPLINE: ENGINEERING & PROJECT MANAGEMENT
LOCATION: SANDTON / TEMANE (MOZAMBIQUE)
DURATION: CONTRACT (RENEWABLE)

“TRS is urgently looking for Local Mozambican nationals or South Africans to fulfill a Senior Reservoir/Petroleum Engineer role with strong project management and engineering capabilities within Oil & Gas Industry to join our leading client’s project team based at SANDTON and travel time to time to TEMANE, MOZAMBIQUE.”
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Focus on building and maintaining reservoir simulation models for recoverable hydrocarbon volume forecasts and field development planning (including reserves and well planning). Work within an integrated subsurface team to deliver detailed reservoir characterization studies incorporating all available geological, geophysical, petrophysical and reservoir engineering data.
• Provide reservoir engineering interpretation support to exploration, appraisal, development and production studies undertaken within EPT (operated and non-operated).

• Provide reservoir engineering interpretation support to exploration, appraisal, development and production studies undertaken within EPT (operated and non-operated). Use above models to identify and describe key subsurface uncertainties critical to Southern Mozambique asset management decision making.
• Maintain a reservoir engineering database of key reservoir dynamic (pressure, test, flow performance) and fluid characterization data.
• Support both the PPA and PSA assets in the development of integrated production forecasting tools.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
• Accredited Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum/ Reservoir Engineering or other Science/Engineering with a strong numerical component.
• Minimum 6 years of Petroleum/Reservoir Engineering or related engineering/upstream experience combined with appropriate petroleum engineering training
• Must be efficient and able to meet deadlines while managing multiple assigned projects, as well as be able to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills in English and Portuguese
• Strong capability in using MS Office software and collaborative applications
• Strong computer literacy, including the use of personal computer and related software for data management including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Access database
