Location: Modderfontein, Johannesburg
Salary: R700 000 pa

Main Accountabilities
Pre Payroll
• Manage and prepare payroll input data.
• Validate time and attendance data and download from Jarrison system an upload into SAP.
• Resolve any PY data discrepancies.
Payroll Processing – Gross to Net
• Execute controls and payroll checking
• Process final payroll run
• Checking of variance report and audit trail report.
Post payroll processing
• Perform payroll validation
• Approve payroll result and payouts
• Generate GL file and upload to finance.
• Assist finance team with account clearing. (employee vendor & Bank)
• Transmit payroll file to the bank
• Notify treasury of pending payment
• Transmit funds and necessary reporting to tax and 3rd party agencies. (Incl. Monthly, quarterly, bi-annually & annually)
• Support administration and submission of IRP5.
• Preparation of the bank release file
Other Payroll services
• Administration of garnishee orders
• Administration of housing loans.
• Managing periodic payroll processes for example off cycle payments.
• Manage employee communication and ensure the utilization the Ask HR tool.
International Payroll run
• Coordinate payroll process for the cluster countries with GBS Hub office Bangalore.
• Liaising with Deloitte on PY legislative changes.
• Performs any user acceptance testing for system configuration changes.
Documentation
• Prepares information and documents for internal as well as external authorities (social security, income tax, etc.).
Challenges:
• Foreign Language (French & Portuguese)
• Geographical spread
• Pressurized environment
Knowledge, skills and experience:
• SAP knowledge and working experience
• 5 years + payroll experience
• MS Excel experience
• Analytical Thinking
