Senior Piping Engineer

Our client is currently recruiting for a Senior Piping Engineer with extensive experience in the Power Plants industry.

• Perform the function of Senior Piping Engineer on large or complex projects, including Design and Supply of Power plants piping pressure parts.
• Perform piping Layout into plant layout , piping & supports specifications and calculations according to American or European codes: Piping design conditions, Piping Materials Selection, Piping thickness calculation, Piping stress analysis and supports calculations.
• Performs technical calculations and technical reports.
• Assures contract specifications, applicable codes and company procedures are fulfilled.
• Prepares technical data sheets , material takeoff and specifications.
• Prepares, verifies and/or approves piping isometrics and support drawings related to the technical calculations performed.
• Ensures successful completion of the assigned deliverables per contract requirements within the budgeted time and cost constraints of the project/proposals.
• Reports to the Section Manager any technical project/proposal difficulty and /or out of standard solution to be approved.
• Coordinates and supports the Project Engineering Manager in the technical aspects of the project.
• Check, comment, and approval of piping and support shop drawings.
• Co-ordination with piping team and also with other teams of different disciplines.
• Identify circumstances considered likely to result in contract changes.
• Advise the Project Engineering Manager of any slippages and their causes and proposed corrective action.
• Provide guidance and training to junior and trainee engineers.

Qualifications:
• Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
• 5-10 years relevant experience in Power Plant Projects (design and calculation)
• Excellent command of Spanish and English languages
• Good organization, written and oral skills
• Knowledge of American and International Standards and Codes (ASME B31.1, B31.3 and European codes)
• Advanced user of Caesar II & NozzlePro
• Modelling package experience of AVEVA Everything 3D /PDMS
• User of PV Elite
• User of Autocad
• User of Solid works Simulation or ANSYS (valued positively)
• Advanced user of MS Office specially EXCEL
• Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required
• Immediate availability to join
