JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Takes a lead role to propose consulting services and solutions to meet the customer's needs.
- Leads or supports the development of a special technology or area of best practice.
- Actively participates in customer discussions; preparing technical proposals; techno commercial. negotiations; co-creation workshops with customers; technical guidance for the customer etc.
- Makes contacts at senior level (e.g. Site Manager, Technical Director).
- Negotiates contracts to win consulting assignments of 250 to 1500 hours.
- Develops relationships and actively maintains a technical knowledge exchange with key technical contacts.
- Ensures consistency in documenting knowledge/lessons learned and shares across the unit/team.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Technology/Advanced Diploma or Equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- 8+ years’ experience in the field of Electrical Engineering with extensive Electrical experience in Power Generation, Water industry, Oil & Gas.
- Lead roles in Tendering, Engineering and Execution. Experience in various project development and execution phases including engineering design.
- Works with the customer to shape and deliver solutions and seeks customer feedback to drive and deliver improvements.
- Experience in Motors, Drives, Low/Medium Voltage Switchgear, Protections and Relays and Substations.
- Substation Automation System, IEC 61850 will be advantageous.
- Professional registration with ECSA will be advantageous.
