Our client, an International industry leader in the Oil & Gas sector is looking for an Shop Manager to join their team. This is a great opportunity for individuals looking to further progress their career in midstream facility construction, industrial maintenance support, plant shutdowns and turnarounds, field construction and project management sector. The ideal candidate will have 5 – 7 years previous experience in a supervisory role executing shop operations while gaining new business and building on current relationships.
Responsibilities
• Highly safety orientated fostering previous experience in zero incident safety cultures: programs, policies, and initiatives; conduct safety meetings, address issues, and implement project & facility safety plans
• Forecasting of budget and new revenue streams and projections; ability to gain new business and actively account manage existing relationships
• Oversee day to day operations of a fabrication shop floor, with a focus on productivity and meeting deadlines, shop software and equipment
• Ability to provide hands on training and mentorship while building a strong workforce culture
• Provide strong leadership and people management initiatives; performance reviews, coaching, disciplinary actions and terminations
• Purchasing of necessary materials, supplies and services for project scopes
Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree, or equivalent years of experience
• Previous experience in a Fabrication environment
