Shutdown Planner Coordinator

The South Flank Project is being executed by a fully Integrated Project Team (IPT), jointly established by BHP and Fluor, consisting of employees from both organisations as well as other contracting organisations as applicable. The BHP Charter Values will underpin the success of the IPT and South Flank Project, creating a culture which promotes trust, team engagement and productivity.

Technical Capabilities & Competencies

The Shutdown Planner Coordinator is responsible for the planning and coordination and shutdown activities across the project.

Directly supports the project teams to safely deliver the assigned shutdown activities in accordance with the Shutdown Management Framework and IOP Shutdown procedure, including providing an interface with site Operations.

Qualification

Trade certificate desirable.

Skills

Strong communication and engagement skills with a range of audiences.

Ability to build positive and sustaining relationships.

Demonstrated initiative and ability to work autonomously.

Strong knowledge of BHP systems, processes, procedures and policies.

Experience

5 + years' experience within a project environment.

Demonstrated capability within construction industry related to standards required for the establishment and de-establishment of construction sites.

Field Leadership activities (number and quality)

Responsibilities:

Ensure conformance with the BHP Charter, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.

An overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.

Lead safe systems of work, ensuring appropriate Shutdown Management Plans are developed and implemented;

Manage relationships proactively through building positive engagement with operations and other stakeholders for respective portfolio as well as coaching team members in effective stakeholder engagement.

Coordinates with Planning, Production, Engineering and Maintenance functions to ensure projects can be completed without undue or unplanned interference to operational activities to deliver the approved business outcomes within the approved timeframes and budgets;

Provides input into tender and contract content to ensure shutdown requirements are adequately captured;

Manages the shutdown staging plan (as required) for each project;

Coordinates the review of relevant project shutdown documents, providing input where required;

Ensures upcoming shutdown requirements are communicated to the relevant stakeholders;

Assist Project Managers during shutdown preparations and readiness reviews;

Liaises with contractors, vendors, team members and service providers as necessary regarding project shutdown deliverables;

Attend weekly progress meetings with the contractor as required;

Attend daily shutdown meetings alongside Supervisors when required;

Manages upcoming shutdown works, tasks such as

Creates Notifications

Integrate contractor shutdown schedule into Ops schedule

Manage shutdown interactions

Close out of notifications

Assists Project team to deliver scope

Assists level shutdown intensity and resources at a portfolio level;
