TRS Staffing Solutions has exciting opportunities for an Environmental Coordinator role to work for one of Canada's top employers and a global leader in the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management industry.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct environmental inspections and audits, identify issues and opportunities, and support the implementation of corrective actions.
- Translate environmental and sustainability objectives into actionable site-level initiatives.
- Track and support compliance with environmental legislation, permits, approvals, and internal commitments.
- Develop and deliver environmental awareness, induction, and training activities for employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Assist with environmental incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up actions.
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing improvement of an integrated environmental and social management framework.
- Contribute to environmental monitoring programs related to air, water, soil, waste, and wildlife as required by approvals.
- Provide environmental guidance and support to project, construction, and contractor teams to promote responsible environmental practices.
- Preform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Natural Sciences, or a related field.
- 5–10 years of relevant environmental experience in construction, industrial, operational, or project-based environments.
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental protection.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and environmental or data management systems.
- Experience supporting environmental compliance, monitoring programs, and sustainability initiatives is considered an asset.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams.
- Valid driver’s license required.
