Our client based in the Newcastle/Middlesbrough area is looking for an experienced Site Manager with a strong civil engineering background and proven capability in managing large EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects within the power sector. The ideal candidate will also possess working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems to ensure seamless integration across disciplines. This role involves overseeing site operations, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, and delivering the project on time and within budget.


Key Responsibilities
Site Leadership: Manage day-to-day site activities for a large-scale power project, coordinating civil, electrical, and mechanical works.
Team Management: Lead and supervise a workforce of approximately 350 personnel, including subcontractors and site engineers.
Project Coordination: Work closely with EPC contractors, design teams, and client representatives to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Safety & Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to HSE standards and regulatory requirements.
Quality Assurance: Monitor construction quality across all disciplines and implement corrective actions where necessary.
Scheduling & Reporting: Develop and maintain site schedules, progress reports, and resource plans.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Communication: Maintain clear and professional communication with internal and external stakeholder

Qualification
Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Experience:

Minimum 10 years in site management roles within large infrastructure projects.
Strong EPC experience on major power or energy projects.
Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.

Technical Knowledge:

Civil engineering expertise with solid understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
Familiarity with power plant construction processes and standards.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
